Unable to install ASE 16 on AIX

Hello,

 

I am trying to install ASE 16 on AIX on PowerPC_POWER7 Processor. The installation starts and creates some directories but abruptly stops. It shows installation completed with errors. Here is a brief log of what happens:

the Sybase software licenses.

The errors it shows during installation are below. Except for them there don't seem to be any other errors. The directories & files for these error modules do exist but the option to configure the ASE Server, setup all databases doesn't appear:

- Status: ERROR

Additional Notes: ERROR - SAP Java Runtime Environment: FAILED.  See log file /sybase/log/jre7.log for detail.

 

- Status: ERROR

Additional Notes: ERROR - Open Client: FAILED.  See log file /sybase/log/open_client.log for detail.

 

- Status: ERROR

Additional Notes: ERROR - Interactive SQL: FAILED.  See log file /sybase/log/dbisql.log for detail.

 

- Status: ERROR

Additional Notes: ERROR - Adaptive Server Enterprise: FAILED.  See log file /sybase/log/ase.log for detail.

The machine has 8Gb of RAM. I have attached the full log file. If anyone needs any other inputs kindly let me know but I am baffled what is the reason for the failure of the installation. Any help is appreciated.
