Hi Experts,
let’s assume the following:
- An On-Premise application, e.g. ERP, is sending a request to the SAP Cloud, e.g. HCI.
- For the outbound communication a forward proxy is used.
- The On-Premise application does not have a registered domain name. It is an internal name which cannot be used for registration as a domain name.
- But there is a public domain, e.g. external.company.com which is registrated as an official public domain name.
Is there a need that the ERP system has a public registered domain name?
Please also refer to the following document…

So far as I understood it would be sufficient to use the public domain, e.g. external.company.com, for the certificate signing request.
