Hi i have a questionon incident management

I have added a field "Email-ID" on my Incident Management screen using Personalize option.

But I am not able to activate it's functionality.

Am i suppose to do any backend coding so that the entered mail id gets an email notification or is there any way out.

Please help me solving this issue...............
