we are upgrading batch management activation and deactivation program. Our present landscape is ECC6 EHP5. We got all support from SAP and BM tools regarding the upgrade. But one statement is not clear regarding BW refresh. The statement from SAP was "Reg. the BW/BI please refer to the according BI/BW documentation. BI/BW uses aggregated data. We do not change this data, we only change logistic / operational data. But after a conversion, it might be, that the aggregated data do not match to the operational data, from which they derived. Therefore you should “refresh” the data"
Here what does it mean by BW refresh?
