Upload and update Master Data via VBA

Hi experts,

 

I want to update a BPC master data via EXCEL VBA automatically, but I don't know how to write VBA code.

(BPC version is 10.1 NW on HANA)

 

Our client's requirement is that the following straight processes run automatically after clicking VBA command button.

 

(1)Output certain cell area in Excel sheet to CSV file on the local PC.

(2)Upload the CSV file (1) into the specific location on BPC file service.

(3)Run the DM package to update master data by use of CSV (3). (e.g. Import Master Data)

 

It is possible for me to realize (1), but I don't know how to develop VBA code about (2) and (3).

 

Could you please provide some hints, keywords, or sample code to me about VBA code?

When i enter the shadow instance in check the SE14 the view does not exist in the database, when i create in database give me an error with all views.

 

I´m search oss notes but I can not find.

Automatic change of equipment number, by change of Equipment Category

Sometimes, while creating equipment master it happens that wrong category was assigned. It is possible to change the category in change equipment screen,but the equipment number remains same.

Is it possible to change the category as per the number range assigned category-wise in both cases where:

1) No maintenance objects have been created so far on the equipment

2) Maintenance Object exist on the equipment

Requested entity could not be found

Lately I was playing around with HCP and Olingo and wanted to expose a JPA model as OData. I created some data using EJB and then tried to read this data via OData. Accessing the collection gave me a list of created entities, but when I tried to access one using its key, I got only the error message: Requested entity could not be found. Exemple: http://localhost:8080/service.svc/Events(8L)


<error xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/ado/2007/08/dataservices/metadata"><code/><message xml:lang="en-US">Requested entity could not be found.</message></error>

 

Thing is: the entity was there. I know it (I have DB access), I just could not access it. Turned out that the version of org.eclipse.persistence.jpa I was using does not like when the @ID key is of type long (8L). Using version >= 2.5.2 solved the issue for me. Changing my pom.xml:

 

<dependency>    <groupId>org.eclipse.persistence</groupId>    <artifactId>org.eclipse.persistence.jpa</artifactId>    <version>2.5.2</version></dependency>

Now I can access the entity using the ID as key in the URL.

Hybrid app using Sybase Unwired Platform giving issue while accessing MBO?

Hi,

 

I am trying to create Hybrid application using HTML5, JS, CSS. I follow the document provided for that in SAP documentation for SUP. I have generated code (Mostly JavaScript and XML files). Then as per tutorial I have added html file to test JavaScript.

 

Here I m facing issue. While I am trying to access MBO using function and class (object) provided in Hybridapp.js (Generated file) it gives error by telling that rmi.xml file is missing.

 

I googled it for that and try to find in installation folder but I was unable to do so. And couldn't debug the generated code.

 

Any help would be appreciated. Let me know if any further details is required.

 

I m using SUP 2.3.

 

Code is not doing anything other than calling findAll default function (That should be map to MBO default function.)

Can RDA DTP load to Advanced DSO?

Hi,

 

Can real time dtp be used to load data direct to adv dso in BW 7.4/7.5 ?

 

I have generated ODP flow which pulls data from ecc via SLT and then init load is done via DTP as std dtp but there is no way to change it to real time dtp

Which SAP Tools for BW on Hana migration ?

Hi,

I have a BW on HANA production system and I wish to migrate/create all the same customization and BW objects (without master data) to a new step-out BW on Hana installation.

Which SAP tools are recommended for such a process?

1, Transports, using TRM and/or Charm

2, Full migration using DMO, then delete transactional/master data

3, Traditional system copy. SAP note 886102, Scenario A2 and B2

4, TDMS - Migrate the BW system with option to include subset of Transactional/master data to be deleted later

How to consume .Net Web service in sap

I am facing an issue while creating consuming web service using url: http://199.999.99.99:8090/Service1.asmx?WSDL , at the end while pressing complete button  prompt an exception class error ,

 

Not implemented

Exception of class CX_SIDL_INTERNAL_ERROR

 

So please give me some useful solution regarding this error, So that I can resolve this error.

SAP Screen Personas 3.0 - crucial basic scripting issue - no object recording/selecting for specific but essential elements?

Hello everybody,

 

is there any solution or something expedient for this crucial issue:

 

There is no possibility to record the particular material views in MM01 in the script, furthermore, the whole window seems not to work with scripting:

We had implement SP02 and Note 2222774 Version 7, in which a similar issue is mentioned: "PERSONAS30-5436 - Script recorder has increased accuracy in recording table and tree events.", but this is obviously another issue.

 

Any help?

can we re-run job from sm37

Hi Friends,

 

Is there a possibility to re-run a job if it has failed from transaction sm37, without changing its original schedule start time and date.

 

If I click on the job and then go to job, repeat scheduling, immediate start and save it does that change the jobs original schedule start time and date.

 

I know we can do it from se38 by inputting the program name and run it in the background but wanted to know if we can do through sme37.

Copy correct values from drop-down lists of Item Master Data form

Hi experts

 

For one of the functions of my add-on I need to copy values from a drop-list of Item Master Data from(ex: Under General tab, the value of Manufacturer).

 

How my function works-> User updates an item with some values(can be Item description, Foreign Name, Price List, Manufacturer,etc). Afterwards he clicks my function button included in this form. Then the function copies the changes he made and updates another item with those values. I can copy values such as Foreign Name,Item description(fields without a drop-down list) without any problem. But I can't copy the values from drop--down lists because in the database these columns have integer values.

 

So any help to find a solution to my issue would be highly appreciated!

Hi Friends,

 

One important concern I have while implementation of SAP PS which I would like to share.

 

I see in reports there are lot of cost elements involved. The postings actually are made to the cost elements. But I remember not configuring any cost elements association with any configuration in sap ps IMG so where does these cost elements come from? I found the answer as well to some extent:

say when u create internal activity u assign work center and that has the cost element inside, u also create external activity and sometimes do mention the cost element etc.

 

My question is whom shall i ask what cost element to use, where and when? FICO or respective modules guys?

What shall be my question as what do i need the cost element for so that they provide me the correct CE?

Who provides me the cost center i must use for various tasks in project? and what shall I describe them in terms of my need so that they provide me the correct cost center.

How do i decide which CE my PO uses?

 

I tried to explain but feel free to ask me any question u have.

Issue with Field symbols

HI Experts,

 

I face an issue while using field symbols, kindly help me out. Here <lts_commercial> and <lfs_commercial> is of both same data type, but still I get the error message that the field "Product_guid" is not an component.

 

field-symbols:

               <lts_commercial> type ANY TABLE,

                <lfs_commercial> type any,

 

 

CREATE DATA ref_itab type STANDARD TABLE OF (lc_commercial)

             WITH NON-UNIQUE DEFAULT KEY.

 

       assign ref_itab->* to <lts_commercial>.

 

       create data ref_ls like line of <lts_commercial>.

       assign ref_ls->* to <lfs_commercial>.

 

       ASSIGN <ls_set>-data->* TO <lts_commercial>.

 

       READ TABLE <lts_commercial> into <lfs_commercial> with KEY product_guid = lt_comp_det-object_guid.

 

ERROR MESSAGE:

 

       The specified type has no structure and therefore no component called

       "PRODUCT_GUID". component called "PRODUCT_GUID".

Issue MSAD - Parent and Child Domain

Hello,

 

 

We area implementing SAP IDM 8.0 SP01 and we have been facing the follow issue:

 

 

2 Active Directory repositories: A and B (B is child domain from A) like a.com.br and b.a.com.br

 

 

We want to grant group privilegies(active directory universal group) from a B group for a user from domain A. Is this possible?

 

 

When we execute it, IDM tries create the same user A in the domain B.

 

 

How can we resolve this issue? Our implementation is correct from this AD cases?

Bind sap.m.StandardListItem "Selected" Property from odata boolean Result "X"

I was trying to bindItems in a sap.m.List of sap.m.StandardListItem, but was not able to make sap.m.ListMode.MultiSelect selected if one parameter is coming "X". In filter if we use this boolean check then false results will not be shown in output. To show in a Dialog the list with selected StandardListItem, I used bindProperty and it works. Here is my code example:
